Chambres d'Hotes, Chalet & Camping à la ferme

Camping

Open from 15 April thru 17 September 2017

Camping Place 5Moulin du Pommier has a small Camping à la Ferme with a limited number of places.

Camping is possible in 3 different areas:

In the River area is also the fishing lake, and waterfall. There are places for caravans, camping trailers or tents. This area is not recommended for families with very small children who cannot swim because the lake is deep and the banks are steep and can be slippery.
On the Plateau there are places for caravans and/or tents. These are on the same level as the toilet facilities, trampoline, play area and campfire. This area is best suited for families with small children.
On the Hill there are places under the oak trees and they are only for tents. This area is fine for small children but it is a bit more secluded, shady and a little further from the sanitary facilities.  There is a nice view of the valley from this area.
Our campsites are not marked-off and are at least 10m apart from each other.  It’s a bit camping savage but with the conveniences and the grass mowed.  We like to think that it is camping as it should be.

Sanitary & electricity  facilities

On the plateau you will find the sanitary facilities for those camping on the plateau and hill. There are two each toilets, showers, wash basins and dish washing sinks. Trash, glass and garbage containers are also located here.  We also have containers near the camping spots for both garbage and recycled trash and we empty them most every day.
Camping View from hill
Next to the pool you will find the second sanitary facilities for those camping at the river and lake.  There you will also find a washing machine. These facilities are also for the use of anyone staying by the pool and cafe/terras/recreational area.
We also have several small refrigerator-freezers to rent and places for your own camping fridges where you can plug them into electricity. There are also electric sockets (max. 5 amp.) located close to the camp area’s on the plateau, hill or river where you can plug in extension cords for the use in your tent/ caravan (see tariffs).
We do not have a chemical waste depot available. You will find in Confolens (10km) a public chemical waste depot.

CampfireCampfire

Wind and weather permitting, you are allowed to make a campfire on the plateau or at the campfire place at the restored étang (lake). Of course you have to find your own firewood.

Bread, Evening Meals and Oven dish

In July and August 6 days a week a local baker will stop by in the mornings with french bread and pastries. You can also buy bread at the depot in Saulgond or in a little French store in Lesterp.

During most of July and August, we have an all-you-can-eat Texas Barbeque à la Gary on Sunday evenings. Tuesdays we will have a Curry Evening.  Fridays is Fish & Chips.  Saturdays is hamburgers, sausages and patat.  You must sign-up for these meals a day in advance and they are served buffet style on our covered terrasse near the swimming pool.

On other days of the week, you can order a chicken & potatoes oven dish with salad, cheese plate, dessert, wine and soft drinks for the children. We will deliver the dish at your tent on the time you like.

Pets

Pets are allowed upon consultation and only with our prior approval. Dogs must not run loose and you must clean up after them.
